In May 2026 I printed a songbook of a bunch of my own music. Originally it was just going to be piano music, and while I had about 10 pieces transcribed, it was only around 50 pages, so I needed some filler.

"Desideratum" is a reference to an article from 1944 I read for my riveting college senior project on ternary continued fractions. I didn't believe it was a real word, but it truly was, and I've never forgotten it.

I made one obvious mistake on this book: I forgot the title on the spine! That was mildly frustrating when I opened the box to admire my handiwork.

The book was 152 pages. I used OnPress for printing. It cost $183 to print five books, including tax/shipping.
