Led Zeppelin - Bron-Yr-Aur @ r2
A nice little acoustic guitar solo from Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page off their 1975 double album Physical Graffiti. I decided to do this since my fingers were vaguely hardened to the violence of the acoustic guitar due to last week's rendition of Touch, Peel and Stand.
Apparently "Bron-Yr-Aur" is Welsh for "side of the hill", and is the name of a cottage in Wales.
Interestingly, this book specifically tells you which fingers to use. I'm not an expert in fingerstyle guitar, but I use my pinky pretty liberally even though this transcription suggests you use the thumb twice. Not sure if it's a "bad" technique to use your pinky, but it seems like an advantage to me. I've got five fingers, may as well use them.

Over the last two weeks I've come to the irrefutable conclusion that I need a new acoustic guitar. Playing a barre chord on this guitar is the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my entire life. You can see the pain in this video as I have to shift my entire body to get enough leverage to barre at the fifth fret.
I also think there's some magic technique to eliminate string noise, but I have not yet mastered it. Enjoy the squeaks. The camera angles will continue until morale improves.
